Camera Club Friday’s meeting of Carluke Camera Club featured the judging of the Club’s latest print competition by Ian Tully, an extremely well-known professional photographer who is a member of Milngavie and Bearsden Camera Club. The competition attracted a record number of 120 entries and the judge complimented the members on the overall high quality of the entries. The winner of the colour section was ‘First in Line’ by Hunter Kennedy, while the first prize black and white print was ‘My Room’ by Libby Smith. Monday’s member’s workshop class was led by vice-president Libby Smithwhen members were able to receive valuable feedback and analysis of their competition entries. This Friday’s meeting will be the judging of the inter-club Clydesdale Trophy competition which is keenly competed for by members of several neighbouring clubs. The judge will be Douglas Allan who was one of the leading camera men on the BBC award-winning programme Blue Planet. This meeting will begin at 7.30pm on Friday in St Andrews Church Hall in Mount Stewart Street.
