Oh Danny boy

Gaffer Stephen Robinson was delighted that Danny Johnson reacted to his absence from the team in the right way.

He said:“that was Danny’s best all round performance.

“Danny came up here with a reputation for scoring at lower levels.

“We never buy the finished article. It’s either boys who aren’t playing elsewhere or boys from lower leagues. Danny works his socks off.

“He doesn’t moan and he showed he was ready today.”
