Newmains man caught with knife

A Newmains man caught with a knife has been handed a chance to show he can stay out of further trouble.

Rhys Muldoon, of Branchalmuir Crescent, appeared at Hamilton Sheriff Court and admitted having a blade in Coll Street andtiree Crescent, Newmains, on May 5.

Sheriff Shionawaldron deferred sentence until February 27 for good behaviour and to see how 20-year-old Muldoon is progressing on a community payback order imposed for abusive or threatening behaviour.
