St Aidan’s High teenager Niamh Donnelly danced her way to a number of titles in 2018.

The 14-year-old Wishaw school pupil won her Pre- championships in Highland dancing at the Central Scotland Championships in Paisley and was also nominated to take part in the SDTA European Highland Scholarships where she went on to win the junior section.

Niamh is a pupil at the Gillian Chapman School of Dance in Carluke and Gillian was full of praise for the former St Athanasius Primary pupil.

She said: “Everyone at the school would like to wish Niamh luck as she enters the Highland dancing championship section.

“To win the Highland Scholarships section was an excellent achievement and we are all extremely proud of her.

“Niamh has danced with the school since she was three and we all want to recognise her great achievements.”
