As well as creating beautiful flower bouquets, Yvonne and Catherine’s shop at 86 Manse Road is packed with gorgeous gifts guaranteed to score you some brownie points on February 14.

A dozen red roses are the obvious choice for gifts every year, but you can also pick up a personalised balloon to be delivered alongside the flowers, as well as candles, photo frames, chocolates and even a bottle of prosecco or two.

Delivery is free in Newmains and from £2.95 for Wishaw and the surrounding areas.

Mum and daughter Catherine Allen and Yvonne Brodie started up Pixies Petals Floral and Balloon Design in May 2017.

The pair say they are delighted with how business is doing and are very grateful for the support of the locals. Yvonne said: “The shop is going great. “Big events like Valentine’s Day , Mother’s Day and Christmas time are always very busy. We’ve got great, loyal regular customers who continue to use us time and time again.

“We’re really passionate about what we do and are always happy to make the bouquets and flowers to suit our customers tastes.”
