“I want Graham to have a legacy that his daughter can be proud of”, William revealed.

“Suicide is an illness. It’s ridiculous and something has to be done about it. We need to stand as a community.

“It needs to be tackled from as early as primary schools and high schools.

“I need to get into my head why this has happened — everything comes back to why?

“That’s the reason we decided on ‘Why? — The Graham Fraser Foundation’.

“I want to help people that are grieving, or those feeling suicidal. We can help them, take them to different places, or just be there for them.

“I need to do something because right now I’m empty, I’ve got nothing, just emptiness.”

We revealed in last week’s paper that the family came up with the idea of providing somewhere to A Wishaw church is hosting a trio of fun family events from Sunday.

St Marks Church is holding its summer holidays BIG 3 starting on Sunday, August 4 with Messy Church; a family afternoon of crafts and songs around a bible story.

It’s on from 3.30pm until 6pm. The afternoon includes a very informal and short act of worship followed by a meal. Children must be accompanie­d by an adult at this event.

Backpacker­s Holiday Club for P1 to P7 aged pupils runs from Monday, August 5 to Friday, August 10, from 10.30 to 12.30pm.

Each day there will be singing, crafts and games – following the events of the last week of the life of Jesus. Children can have lunch for free, and adults can stay for £1.

On Wednesday there will also be a Free Family Film Night from 5.30pm.

The church week climaxes on Saturday 10 with a Community Fun Day from 1 to 4pm (weather permitting).

Activities will include a climbing wall (adults £2), bungee trampoline­s, a carousel, a variety of stalls and a prayer space.

All Access wrist bands for children are available at £2 each, or three children for £5.

Finally on the Sunday, August 11 there will be a special service where the members of the congregati­ons of both St Marks (service time 10.15am) and Cleland (service time 11.45am) have been encouraged to invite someone along.
