The prayer meeting is on Thursday evening at 7pm.

The Sunday morning meeting is at 10.45am and is led by Majors John and Irene Huston. Friendship Club meets on Tuesdays from 1pm till 3pm. This Friday, August 2, will be the toddlers’ messy play from 2pm till 3.30pm. If the toddlers have any older siblings, they are also welcome to come along.

The toddlers’ group, Friday and JAM clubs are now on holiday for the summer and will resume in the autumn.

Will present their annual charity tournament on Sunday, August 11. Since it started back in 1984, the event has raised over £300,000 for charitable causes. Ths year, the recipients will be the Lanarkshir­e Cancer Care and Maggie’s Centre, based at Monklands Hospital. A grand raffle will also be held and donations of prizes are most welcome. Is an exciting project for children and adults alike. It offers art classes for all ages. Mondays from 6pm till 7.30pm is for ages eight to 11, Tuesdays from 10.30am till noon is for adults, with a class for four to seven-year-olds from 6pm till 7.30pm.

Thanks everyone for their continued support and is open in the village on Wednesdays at 1pm.

Due to an increased number of clients, it is running low on tinned meat, fish, vegetables and fruit.

It also requires donations of pasta, rice, pasta and rice meals, noodles, tea, coffee and toiletries.

Any donations would be greatly appreciate­d; these can be dropped off at the trolley in Asda Newmains or at Bonkle church. LISTENING LOUNGE

The Listening Lounge is open from 2pm to 4pm on Wednesdays in Coltness Memorial Church.

All are invited to come along for a chat, some company or a change of scenery and to relax or unwind.

SUMMER SHORT WALKING EVENT

The Drama Kirk group will present a dramatised walk next month, bringing to life the tale of Moses and the Israelites wandering in the desert this summer.

All are welcome to come along to experience the Exodus anew, which depicts the exciting journey of Moses travelling from the Red Sea to the Promised Land.

The drama group will walk along with some well known Bible characters and witness the dramatisat­ion of the temptation­s, trials and miracles experience­d along the way.

The walk is less than a mile in distance and the event will last approximat­ely an hour and will include one steep incline for walkers.

It will take place on Sunday, August 10 in Chatelhera­ult Country Park in Hamilton, starting at 10am, noon and 3pm.
