THROUGHOUT the year, the Hants & Berks Motor Club offer a wide range of activities for members; these include monthly meetings that cover various interests including quizzes, walking treasure hunts, interclub skittles, film shows and guest speakers talking on specialist subjects.

The club also organises classic car events, navigation­al events and support local shows and other car club events.

Club meetings during the winter months are held on the last Thursday of the month at the Raven Hotel, Station Road, Hook, RG27 9HS.

Summer meetings are often held at other locations in the Berkshire / Hampshire area. The club always welcome new members, if anyone is interested in finding about more about the club; please contact the Club Secretary / Chairman or visit our website (details below).

Thursday 28th September 2017 – Club Night Talk. To be held at the Raven Hotel, starts at 8pm.

Rob Rowe, the Hants & Berks Motor Club Magazine Editor will be explaining the technologi­es, likely impacts and make a few prediction­s based around the subject of ‘Autonomous Self Driving Cars’ that we will possibly see on our streets in the near future.

The meeting is open to all and the club is always keen to see some new faces along. As we’re now into the second half of the membership year we’re offering a £10 membership fee for the remainder of 2017, which will allow entry to our upcoming events/ meetings and members will receive a copy of the

Clubs monthly magazine.

Sunday 1st October 2017 – Autumn Tour. This is the first year with the new organisers Neal Day and Ray Vass who hope to introduce a few changes to the format and evolve the event.

The event name has been rebranded to The Autumn Classic and Sports Car Tour to broaden the appeal of the event and to remove any vehicle age restrictio­ns.

This year’s event will commence from California Country Park near Wokingham; the event will start at 9am and will cover around 80 miles across a mix of roads ending at The Bursledon Brickworks Industrial Heritage Museum.
