Students benefit from an academically rigorous, broad and innovative curriculum. The sciences, mathematics and the creative arts, including music, film production and art, are particular strengths of the school.

This strength in breadth enables a focus on creative problem-solving and interdisciplinary approaches, encouraging students to analyse and put forward solutions to today’s complex challenges, often supported by the school’s impressive partnerships with universities, industry and cultural organisations, such as Cisco and Pinewood Studios.

The success of our approach is demonstrated by 94% of our Sixth Formers achieving their first university choice last year.

Our cross-cutting skills programmes position students for success in a fast-changing world, where many of today’s jobs will not exist in 30 years time. Central to the school’s approach, we teach leadership, creative thinking and risk-taking, empowering students to be a force for good in the world and reflecting the school’s Quaker ethos.

In Sixth Form, students can choose between the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IB) or A Levels, and can opt to do four A Levels so that their choices are not limited so early in life. Among other accolades, the school is in the top five in the UK for small cohort IB results.
