Perfect 10 sees Woodley maintain unbeaten start

Up in the Premier Division, WOODLEY UNITED ROYALS

battled back from 3-1 down to draw 3-3 at home to Newbury.

Woodley fell behind, but equalised thanks to a Callum Samuel-Harman strike.

And from 3-1 down at the break, the hosts secured a point with Samuel-Harman adding another before Jake White’s 62nd minute equaliser.

Stuart Moss netted four goals

as WARGRAVE kicked off their Division 3 campaign with a

7-1 thrashing of Highmoor Ibis Athletic. Moss’ four as well as strikes from Callum Alliston, Shaun Kitzinger and Jack Morris ensured it was a perfect start.

Elsewhere, HURST A saw off Henley Town Reserves 3-2 thanks to goals from Peter Jones, Paul Novell and Andrew Prosser.

Down in Division 4, a firsthalf Jose Ribeiro hat-trick set

TWYFORD AND RUSCOMBE on their way to an entertaini­ng 6-3 win over Taplow United A.

Michael Jones also bagged a treble, two of which came before the break, as Twyford got off to a blistering start.

WOODLEY UNITED B also began with a win, beating

HARCHESTER HAWKS DEVELOPMEN­T 2-0.

In the Sunday Leagues, WOODLEY UNITED are still waiting to get off the mark in the Reading and District Premier Division, losing 4-2 to Athletico Forest, despite a brace from Rob Timbers.
