Wallace wins four times over

JEFF WALLACE was a quadruple winner as Three Mile Cross held their annual club finals at the weekend.

Every game was completed, despite some problems with the weather, with Wallace winning on four events including the men’s singles and triples, while Adrian Salmon won five titles. n WOKINGHAM LADIES edged out Windsor and Eton in a tight friendly match at Reading Road.

With the season now finished, the club is winding down ahead of finals weekend later this month.

And the Ladies got a 49 shots to 46 victory down in no small part to a big 26-8 win from Sandra Thompson, Margaret Argent and Marie Fielding.

The same side also travelled to Caversham, but the game was cut short due to rain with Wokingham winning by 43 shots to 30.

The top triple was skipped by Janette Kane along with AnneMarie Murray and Ann Taylor, winning 20-5.
