Dragon show will be magic

-

ONE of the final magic acts conceived by the late Paul Daniels will be performed onstage in Bracknell next weekend.

The People’s Theatre Company worked with the former Wargrave magician for 18 months after first meeting on a pantomime tour.

Since his death in March 2016, the company have been determined to put together a fitting tribute to the icon, celebrating his magical life and career.

The magic routine comes as part of a brand new musical entitled Don’t Dribble on the Dragon, a feel-good story of two young brothers, Jack and Tom, and the special relationship they share bound together by a magical dragon.

It is a show all about growing up and the importance of family and contains a wonderful mix of fun, pathos, instantly sing-along songs, and Daniels’ jawdropping illusions.

Written by Steven Lee, an actor and artistic director of The People’s Theatre Company, and performed by himself, CBeebies star Thomas Capper, and Robyn Barr as the dragon, the production is aimed at adults and children over two years.

Don’t Dribble on the Dragon comes to South Hill Park on Saturday, September 23 at 2.30pm. Tickets are £12, or £40 for a family of four.
