BINFIELD officially unveiled their new clubhouse and changing rooms at the weekend.

The club have raised around £330,000 from a variety of local businesses as well as receiving funding from The FA and Football Foundation.

MP for Windsor Adam Afriyie was present for the opening along with a number of former players and members from the club’s past.

Included in the development are new changing rooms for both teams and officials, new medical room, new toilets and a refurbished bar.

“We thank all who have been involved in the project to date and all who attended Saturday’s event,” said Binfield’s club resources development manager Glenn Duggleby.

“We are already thinking about and planning further developments and improvements.”

But there was not as much success on the pitch as Binfield’s unbeaten run came to a crushing end after a second half collapse against Brackley Town Saints, losing 4-1.

The Moles had not lost in seven Hellenic Premier matches, but after a goalless first half at Hill Farm Lane, they conceded four after the restart to fall to a heavy and surprising defeat.

Alex Colverd netted Binfield’s only goal, but that came deep into second half stoppage time.

Roger Herridge handed a debut to Ellis Wint but neither side could find a breakthrough in the opening 45 minutes.

Moles stopper Henry Craven was called into action to deny Ryan Knight while Josh Howell came closest for Binfield with his header saved.

Binfield made a change at the break, introducing Colverd in place of Brad Pagliaroli, but it was Brackley who broke the deadlock just two minutes into the second half.

Knight played the ball in for Josh Bowden, who headed past Craven.

Charley Tuttle flashed a free-kick wide before the visitors doubled their tally around the hour mark when Alex Stott’s cross from the wing sailed over Craven and found the top corner.

Carlos Santoro headed off target as Binfield tried to battle back, but the win was sealed on 81 minutes when Charlie Killie’s header made it 3-0.

Josh Bowden added a fourth before Colverd pulled one back in the seventh minute of added on time.
