Mill prepares for its biggestever festive production

-

A THEATRE in Sonning is gearing up for its biggest production to date.

My Fair Lady, which opens at The Mill at Sonning on November 23 and runs over the Christmas period, will be the biggest production the theatre has seen in its 35-year history, and it is not to be missed.

The Mill welcomes back director and choreographer Joseph Pitcher, who broke Mill records last Christmas with his production of High Society, for this production of the Lerner & Loewe classic, My Fair Lady.

Joseph is not alone in his return to The Mill: Bethan Nash, who played Tracy in High Society returns as

Eliza Doolittle, while Rachel Moran will return to play Clara Eynsford

Hill, as well as acting as Assistant Choreographer.

Joining Bethan and Rachel in The Mill’s biggest ever cast will be Martin Fisher as Professor Higgins. Martin will be making his Mill debut, having previously appeared on the West End in Buddy Holly and Les Mis. Martin is also known for many TV roles, starring in Judge John Deed and Emmerdale.

The story of Eliza Doolittle – the Cockney flower girl who speaks in ‘yowls’ and not ‘vowels’ – has rightfully captivated audiences for decades. Add to this an unforgettable score including songs Wouldn’t It Be Loverly?, On The Street Where You Live, I Could Have Danced All Night and Get Me To The Church On Time and My Fair Lady’s phenomenal worldwide success can be readily understood.

My Fair Lady opens at The Mill at Sonning on Thursday, November 23 and runs until January 27. Tickets start from £47 which include a two-course home-cooked meal before the show, and bookings for a show between November 23 and December 23 will also include a complimentary mince pie.
