Easy! Rider gets the goals

JONTY RIDER scored both goals as Sonning saw off Aylesbury 2-0 to leapfrog them in the MBBO Regional 2 table.

The win extends Sonning’s unbeaten run to three matches and lifts them up to fifth.

SOUTH BERKSHIRE’S trip to Oxford 2s was postponed.

In Division 1, SONNING 2s thrashed Henley 2s 5-2 with Matt Poulton bagging a hat-trick.

Harvey Richardson and Ian Ta also found the net as Sonning move up to fifth.

Sean Hardingham scored twice as SOUTH BERKSHIRE 2s edged out Windsor 3-2 in Division 2.

Desmond Sanders joined Hardingham on the score-sheet for mid-table Berks.

Tom Pullen’s treble came in vain as SOUTH BERKSHIRE 3s lost 4-3 at Banbury 3s while also in Division 3, rock-bottom SONNING 3s drew 1-1 with leaders Oxford 3s thanks to a goal from Peter Mitchell.

Lower down the divisions there were defeats for SONNING 4s and 5s.

On the women’s side, SONNING LADIES were crushed 5-1 at Oxford.

Kimberley Warman, Floor Timmer, Beth Williamson and Amy Litchfield were all on target for the hosts in South Clubs’ Division 3A.

SOUTH BERKSHIRE LADIES stay fifth in Trysports Premier 1 after a 2-2 draw with Oxford Hawks Ladies 3s and SONNING LADIES 2s are tucked in behind in sixth following a 1-1 stalemate at Maidenhead Ladies 2s.

Jess Reus was on the score-sheet as Amersham and Chalfont Ladies 2s beat SOUTH BERKSHIRE LADIES 2s 2-0 in Trysports Premier 2.

Elsewhere there were wins for SONNING LADIES 3s and 5s but the 4s and VETERANS were beaten.

SOUTH BERKSHIRE LADIES 3s picked up a win and the 4s drew at Wallingfor­d.
