Finch on top after seven-goal thriller

-

RICHARD JOHNSON bagged a second half hat-trick as Finchampstead won a sevengoal thriller against Westwood United Reserves.

Finches trailed the Division One strugglers at The Memorial Park before Johnson netted in the 61st, 78th and 87th minutes and Nick Payne grabbed a dramatic stoppage time winner to complete a remarkable turnaround.

The 4-3 win sees Finches sit fifth going into the Christmas break.

Up in the Premier Division, WOODLEY UNITED ROYALS became the first side all season to lose against Taplow United.

Still rooted to the foot of the table, Taplow claimed a

2-1 victory despite a Sam Guze strike for Woodley.

Edward Ramsey’s early goal came in vain as WOKINGHAM AND EMMBROOK RESERVES were beaten 4-1 at home by Westwood United.

WOODLEY UNITED B leapfrogged Goring United Reserves up into third place in Division 4 by beating them 3-2.
