Colleges announce consultation
PUBLIC views are being sought on plans to merge a local college with another group.
Earlier this year, Bracknell & Wokingham College and Activate Learning announced plans for the venture, which they feel will be an exciting new partnership between their colleges. Now the proposals are out for consultation.

CEO Bracknell & Wokingham College announced details of the proposal for Bracknell & Wokingham College to become a member of Activate Learning, joining Reading College, City of Oxford College and Banbury and Bicester College.
In a joint statement
Sally Dicketts and Campbell Christie said: “This exciting new partnership will provide students, staff and employers in the area with new opportunities and choices, giving access to growth and development opportunities made possible by being part of a larger group with national influence.
“By joining forces we intend to harness the strengths of our two organisations, bringing together four successful colleges in Berkshire and Oxfordshire, working together for the benefit of local learners and businesses.
“Having the support and backing of the communities we serve is important to us. We would be delighted if you would read through the plans we have published and let us know your thoughts.”

The consultation closes on April 27.
