Litter droppers can now be picked up by Facebook

AFTER the analysis of millions of social media posts from Wokingham residents, the Wokingham Litter Heroes are now able to predict who will drop litter.

Local firm Cantley Analytica conducted the analysis over the past three months.

CA’s Chief Operating Officer Bernie Nix said: “We initially had no real need to collect the data but after we joined in on a Wokingham Litter Heroes pick last year we had the big idea and gave ourselves the justification we were looking for.

“The accuracy of our algorithm is so precise that we can predict that Ms Dora Albury will drop a can of Monster energy drink on Goatley Way on Tuesday morning.”

Andrew from the Wokingham Litter Heroes is thrilled by the announcement.

“We’ve picked up lots of litter over the years. It’ll be great to put some names to the litter.

“I mean.... who is it that keeps hanging dog poo bags from the trees?

“We’ll be turning on the algorithm on Sunday morning,

April 1.”

Only the foolish would miss out on the next big litter pick planned by the Wokingham Litter Heroes.

This takes place on Saturday, April 28 from 10am.

Participants should meet at the Town Hall and all equipment will be provided..
