Finch endure crazy draw with Celtic

JAMES PAYNE bagged a hat-trick as Finchampst­ead picked up a point in a crazy 5-5 draw with Eldon Celtic in Division One.

First half goals from Payne and Tom Symss were added to after the restart by Payne again before he completed his hat-trick in stoppage time, shortly after Richard Johnson had got Finches back in contention.

In the same league, HURST were thrashed 4-0 by leaders FC Imaan Lions.

Craig Wigan’s goal came in vain as HARCHESTER HAWKS lost 2-1 to Brimpton Athletic in Division Two, while AFC CORINTHIAN­S were beaten by the same score at Mortimer Reserves.

Down in Division Three, Callum Alliston bagged a brace to help WARGRAVE to a 5-1 victory over WOODLEY UNITED A.

Tom Bray, James Pople and Bradley Reaiche also scored before a late consolatio­n from Luke Blakebroug­h.

TWYFORD AND RUSCOMBE preserved their perfect record with a 6-3 win at Farnham Royal Mavericks in Division Four.

The goals for the visitors came from Richard White, Andy Benyon (2), Mikey Jones, Jose Ribiero and Jason Heath.
