A great launch for The Time Machine

-

AFTER weeks of planning and promotion the stage was set and the time had finally come for the inaugural gig at The Time Machine.

As the crowd gathered in anticipation the night exploded into life as young heavy rockers Petra Cohortem blasted their ferocious riffs and kickstarted what was to be a great first gig at The Time Machine.

With a set showcasing their ability of writing huge sounding heavy rock bangers and a great cover of The Fratellis Chelsea Dagger which got the crowd participating, Petra Cohortem left the stage to a massive applause and the focus turned to The Keep Cats.

As they took the stage it was easy to tell straight from the off that this was exactly where the youngsters belong as they wasted no time in bringing their energetic live show to The Time Machine stage.

With a sound far beyond their years and a stage presence to match, The Keep Cats blew the audience away with a set that flew by before their very eyes.

The crowd couldn’t get enough as The Keep Cats played one lively song after the other as they bounced around the stage and showed exactly why there is a lot of excitement surrounding these local lads.

With two incredible support slots and the crowd eagerly anticipating the headliners Vinyl Staircase took to the stage and rounded off what was a great night at The Time Machine.

With their knack of writing catchy songs Vinyl Staircase brought every element of their mesmerising live show, which also include a rather spectacular sparkly top fashioned by front man Mike Thorpe.

Playing a bunch of new songs alongside some crowd favourites from their recently released

EP the four lads from Dorking brought the crowd into their indie psych pop tinged world with a plethora of great riffs and singalong tunes.

They ended the night with the showstopper track Last I Heard, which also features on their new EP, and left the crowd in a state of awe and leaving the first gig The Time Machine a storming success.

We’d like to thank all the bands that played and everyone who came to watch and everyone who was involved in helping The Time Machine come to fruition.

Our next gig takes place on Saturday, April 14, where we will have another three great local bands taking to The Time Machine stage.
