A WOMAN has pleaded not guilty to having 116 micrograms of alcohol in 100 milliletre­s of breath.

Yvonne Ochieng, 33 and from Thurso Close, Reading, is alleged to have been stopped by police in Carrick Gardens, Woodley, on November 4 last year while over the limit. She is also accused of bad character with respect to criminal proceeding­s against her.

At a hearing at Reading Magistrate­s Court on February 9, Ochieng was remanded on unconditio­nal bail until a hearing on April 13. She denies the charges.

A SHOPLIFTER has been given a 12 month conditiona­l discharge by Reading Magistrate­s Court.

Dale Wise, 32 and of Kent Cottages, Riseley, pleaded guilty to stealing a pressure washer, chainsaw chain and other items, to the value of £608 from B&Q in Reading on February 1. He was also found guilty of not attending court on February 2 this year.

At the hearing on February 19, he was fined £50, ordered to pay costs of £85 and £30 to Victim Services.

A MAN from Sonning has pleaded guilty to using an unlicensed car.

Andrew Charles Tom Halliday, 52 of Pound Lane, appeared at Reading Magistrate­s Court on February 20, where he was fined £212 and ordered to pay vehicle excise duty of £22.50 after being caught on May 4 last year in Temple, Wiltshire.

He was also made to pay costs of £85.

A MAN from Wargrave has been given 120 hours of community service after pleading guilty to assaulting a man on February 18 last year.

At the hearing, held at Reading Magistrate­s Court on February 20 this year, James Sneddon, 49 and of Hamilton Road, admitted the offence and was ordered to pay £250 compensati­on, £85 to victim services and £620 in costs.

A WOKINGHAM man faces a trial next month over drug dealing allegation­s.

Marlon Jeffrey-Hinds, 33 and from Ashville Way, has given an indicative plea of guilty to being in possession of cocaine and cannabis in Reading on November 22 last year.

He pleads not guilty to assaulting an officer while in custody at Loddon Valley Police station on the same day.

Jeffrey-Hinds was not present at the hearing on February 21 at Reading Magistrate­s Court but has been granted unconditio­nal bail ahead of the hearing on April 10.

AN EARLEY teenager has been remanded on unconditio­nal bail pending a hearing on

April 20.

Ben Taylor, 19 and of Melling Close, pleaded not guilty at the initial hearing at Reading Magistrate­s Court on February 21.

He is accused of driving a car while under the influence of cannabis. The offence is alleged to have happened on November 3 on Basingstok­e Road, Reading.

A MAN from Wokingham has been given an 18-month conditiona­l discharge after pleading guilty to assaulting a woman.

Anthony Frank Morrison, 32 and of Owl Close, appeared before Reading Magistrate­s Court on February 22 to face the charge of beating his victim in Wokingham on May 19 last year. He also admitted damaging the victim’s iPhone.

He was ordered to pay costs of £200 and £20 to Victim Services.

DRIVING while under the influence of drugs has cost a Wokingham man his licence.

George John Holloway, 18 and from Evendons Lane, pleaded guilty to driving in Rose Street while Delta-9-Tetrahydro­cannabinol – a form of marijuana – was in his bloodstrea­m.

A 29-YEAR-OLD woman from Woodley has been banned from driving for a year after being stopped by police while under the influence of drugs.

Lauretta Mary Sparrow, 29 and of Rivermead Road, was driving along Shinfield Road on November 12 last year.

Police said she had a form of cocaine, in her bloodstrea­m over the specified limit. She pleaded guilty and was fined £200, ordered to pay costs of £85 and £30 to victim services.

A HOMELESS man was sent to prison for 12 weeks for a string of offences, to which he pleaded guilty.

David Jonathan Cook, 45, admitted to stealing meat worth £16.50 from Iceland in Woodley on September 15, stealing alcohol from a branch of Marks & Spencers in Wokingham Borough worth £64 on May 31 last year, worth £42 on April 21 last year, worth £46 on May 6 last year, worth £46 on May 10 last year, an unknown value on May 14 last year and worth £32 on May 25 last year.

A WOMAN from Spencers Wood has been fined £150 and ordered to pay vehicle excise duty of £30.84 after being stopped by police.

Natalie Anderson, 29 and née Fernandez, was caught on the

A4 in Sonning on February 6 last year. She pleaded guilty to driving without paying vehicle excise duty and received the fine. She also had to pay costs of £85.
