Easter celebration on the Green

-

AN EASTER party took place in Arborfield Green and saw the community come together.

Organised by Crest Nicholson, the Arborfield Green Community Centre was the venue for the family fun day, held on Saturday, March 24.

Although a wet day, people flocked to the centre to enjoy a host of activities.

These included performances from Bohunt School, Zumba, Academie De Danse as well as a range of activities including Easter bonnet making, biscuit decorating, and the chance to try and beat the Arborfield Aces’ goalie in a penalty shootout. And there was also a petting zoo to visit.

Visitors could also meet with Thames Valley Police and Lowland Berkshire Search and Rescue to talk about the services that they provide, and explore the emergency response vehicles that were on display.

Anil Bungar, senior development director for Crest Nicholson, said:

“We are very proud to have hosted this Easter event for both the new and existing community at Arborfield Green.

“The day was fun-filled and also informative for both children and adults alike. We are developing a calendar of regular events for Arborfield Green and now look forward to an exciting summer event for local families.”

The community centre is looking for ideas for future events. To get involved email community@ arborfieldgreen.co.uk
