A WOMAN from Earley pleaded guilty to stealing £2,143.39 from another woman.

Kim Blow, 56 and from Felthorpe Close, appeared before Reading Magistrate­s Court on

July 4, where she admitted to the theft which took place between November 3, 2016 and October 3, 2017.

Blow was ordered to pay back the money as compensati­on, ordered to pay £85 costs and £85 to victim services. She must also carry out 120 hours of community service.

A 21-YEAR-OLD from Finchampst­ead pleaded guilty to drink driving.

On June 16, Philip Anthony Chalmers, from Redgauntle­t, Manor Park Drive, was stopped by police while driving in Poperinghe Way, Arborfield.

He was found to have 96 microgramm­es of alcohol in 100 millilitre­s of breath.

Chalmers was ordered to carry out 120 hours of community service, take part in a thinking skills course, pay £85 to victim services and £85 costs. He was also banned from driving for 36 months.

A 55-year-old woman from Lower Earley has denied two charges of assault.

Ruby Young, from Paddick Drive, pleaded not guilty to beating two men in Lower Earley on December 4 last year.

She has been remanded on unconditio­nal bail pending a hearing at Reading Magistrate­s Court on October 1 this year.

A MAN who pleads not guilty to failing to provide a breath specimen will appear before Reading Magistrate­s Court on September 5 for a trial.

Stephen Nicholas Arnold, 46 and from Springdale, Finchampst­ead, denies being stopped by police in Reading on June 16 this year under suspicion of driving while under an influence and failing to give a specimen of breath for analysis.

As Arnold denies the charges, magistrate­s at a preliminar­y hearing remanded him on unconditio­nal bail pending the September hearing.

A WINNERSH woman denies a drink driving charge.

Rajul Ravinda Garg, 36 and from Robin Hood Lane, pleaded not guilty to being stopped in Mackinder Hall, Upper Redlands Road on June 16 this year. Police allege that she had 49 microgramm­es of alcohol in 100 millilitre­s of breath.

Garg has been remanded on unconditio­nal bail until September 4 when her case will be heard.

A COLCHESTER man who carried out an indecent exposure attack five years ago has been found guilty.

He also admitted to a charge of voyeurism as he watched a child change in a swimming pool cubicle in Wokingham.

A third offence of masturbati­on while sitting in a vehicle in a public place was withdrawn.

At a hearing at Reading Magistrate­s Court on July 5, Lewis Jeanes pleaded guilty to the two incidents that took place on March 28, 2013.

The 35-year-old from Coggeshall Road, was committed to Reading Crown Court for sentencing.

A CROWTHORNE man has pleaded guilty to breaching an enforcemen­t notice on land in Finchampst­ead.

Darrel Evans, 74 and from Sequoia Field Farm in Wellington­ia Avenue, appeared at Reading Magistrate­s Court on July 6, where he admitted breaching an enforcemen­t notice served on him on November 25, 2015. He was required to cease using land at The Walled Garden, Wick Hill Lane, for residentia­l reasons, demolish the buildings and remove all resulting materials including a mobile home, its utility connection­s, the hard standing, vehicles and a touring caravan.

Evans was also ordered to spread the hardstandi­ng area with topsoil to a depth of 20cm and sow with grass seed at a mixture of 50g per square metre.

He will return to the court for sentencing on November 9 this year in the expectatio­n that he will have complied with the adjournmen­t notice.

At the same session, Mervyn Harvey, 59 and from The Walled Garden, was found guilty of the same offence and will return to court on November 9 for sentencing.

A WOODLEY man has admitted failing to turn up for

community service.

Benjamin George Purkiss, 35 and from Crockhamwe­ll Road, appeared at Reading Magistrate­s Court on July 9 where he was ordered to carry out an additional 21 hours of community service, taking him to a total of 121 hours, and to pay costs of £60.

A MAN from Spencers Wood has admitted failing to turn up for community service.

Michael Sims, 27 and from The Square, admitted failing to attend his placement on June 20 and had 14 hours added to his community service, giving him a new total of 164 hours. Sims was also ordered to pay £60 costs.

DRIVING while disqualifi­ed has seen an Arborfield man banned from driving for another three months.

Dumintrel-Mihaita Baciu, 42 and from Highfield Park, Eversley Road, pleaded guilty when he appeared at Slough Magistrate­s Court on

July 9.

On June 3, Baciu was stopped in Langley Common Road by police.

He was fined £350, ordered to pay £85 costs and £35 to Victim Services.

A MAN accused of stealing a bike and bank cards and being in possession of cannabis has been remanded on unconditio­nal bail pending a trial on August 21.

Damien Price, 30 and of no fixed abode, is accused of stealing a bike on October 1, last year. On the same day is accused of stealing bank cards and having a quantity of the class B drug cannabis.

All the incidents are alleged to have taken place in Wokingham.

At an initial hearing, held at Reading Magistrate­s Court on

July 10, Price denied the charges of theft but admitted to being in possession of cannabis.

A MAN accused of assaulting a woman will stand trial at Reading Magistrate­s Court next month.

Winston Rodney, 55 and from Home Farm, Beech Hill, denies causing actual bodily harm at the alleged attack on July 9.

At the initial hearing, held at Reading Magistrate­s Court on July 10, Rodney also pleaded not guilty to a charge of damaging a mobile phone worth £10 belonging to the alleged victim.

He is remanded on bail until September 19, when he will appear in court.

He is not to contact directly or indirectly the alleged victim and to live and sleep each night at his Beech Hill home.
