Sadness for Leicester

-

It is very sad that the Thai owner of Leicester Football Club died from a rotor failure on his Helicopter. There are two very serious hazards with rotor aircraft – failure of a main lift rotor blade, and failure of the directional rear (usually) rotor as is suspected on his helicopter.

What has never ceased to concern me is the lack of a jet thruster device – e.g from small compressed container or rocket device – that could be automatically set off if the rear rotor drive or blade fails, to counteract Newton’s Law.

Viz counter the turning force of the main rotor and sufficient to allow a quick descent to safety, i.e have directional control.

Also sad we may say, is the fact that we as a country, are now in the final stages of decline and fall as a democratic nation.

When violence is threatened against anyone who disagrees with someone more powerful, or will not accept the will of the population, then we see the beginnings of decline. However what makes it much more threatening is the collapse of discipline, viz policing, together with a legal system that appears on occasions to not know what the Laws of this country are!

All are, I believe, the responsibility of the Home Office – enough said!

I must also have said many times – do not forget the voters of this country are totally responsible for its state! Everyone, including the young should be educated in what a democracy is, and how each has a responsibility to ensure it remains fundamental to their futures.

As grown-ups or old – join my Club – we must always think of the young whose future we have in our hands. Reg Cli on, Wokingham
