A CHARVIL pub has reopened following a six-figure makeover.

And to celebrate, The Wee Waif, on the A4 Bath Road, welcomed Wokingham Borough Mayor, Cllr John Kaiser, for its reopening party last Wednesday.

Greene King said that the popular pub and hotel has been significantly refurbished throughout and now boasts an impressive bar area, together with improved viewing facilities to host the latest sporting events.

This includes multiple screens showing Sky Sports with high quality sound systems ensuring every kick can be heard.

And there are improvements to the bar area, with an improved drinks range including more cask ales and special promotions on a number of beers.

Guests can also enjoy their drinks in an extended beer garden which features additional seating and new outdoor lighting.

And the pub will continue to offer special meal offers such as a curry on Wednesdays and two meals for £8.99 on weekdays.

Carly Salisbury, general manager at the Wee Waif Hungry Horse said: “We’ve had a fantastic time celebrating the reopening and our neighbours really came out to support us.

“Our guests are at the heart of what we do, so it was great to be able to mark the reopening with the local community.

“It was a pleasure to welcome Cllr John Kaiser to enjoy the new offering too – he really helped to kick off the festivities.

“We’ve already had great feedback on the revamped bar and the sports viewing areas, with many guests planning their next visit around the upcoming matches.

“The team and I can’t wait to welcome new and returning visitors to the Wee Waif Hungry Horse very soon.”
