Set yourself three goals

NORMALITY should now be getting closer am I right? Christmas may have been and gone but the presents should still be coming your way my friend. What presents could I be talking about then? The presents of life and the present that is the knowledge that you are going to do something special this year.

I honestly believe that when you put your mind to something and dedicate some time to doing it then you will achieve it. Over the last five or so years since I left the Royal Marines I have achieved some amazing things in my life. I have also had the awesome opportunit­y to help facilitate some amazing achievemen­ts with my clients too.

Over the Christmas period, I always take stock of what I have achieved in the last 12 months and then aim to improve various aspects for the next 12 months. You cannot always excel at everything in your life as there needs to be compromise at sometimes, but I do believe that you can, and you should always have three goals at any one point.

What three goals could you set right now to sky rocket your mind, your body and your life?

How could you improve your fitness right now? Are you doing enough training currently to meet your goals? When you look in the mirror, what is looking back at you? Have you previously set a target and still want to achieve it? Is there a dream body you have for yourself and if so, what is stopping you from achieving it?

Do you wake up and look forward to the day on a Monday morning? How is your motivation currently? Could you imagine yourself being any happier right now? If you could, what needs to happen to make that a reality?

When you were younger, and you imagined life growing up; what at that age did you think you would be doing? Does your current situation live up to those thoughts from when you were younger? Could your life be any better in any way right now?

Could a simple change or focus on your part cause exponentia­l improvemen­t in your quality of life starting today?

Just before Christmas, my partner and I found out we will be having another child and we will be having our fourth child in late June, early July.

We already have three gorgeous daughters, Summer, Sienna and Sofia and we are really excited to be having another child.

My wife thinks it will be a boy this time, but I have that feeling that I am going to be even more outnumbere­d and it will be another girl.

Literally, we could not be more excited right now but then I am going to open up to you today… this scares me too.

Another child alongside our current work and family commitment­s, my masters being currently in full flow, having to buy a larger car, holidays getting more expensive, current children getting older and getting more demanding…the list goes on! But it’s all good, change is good and life changing moments like these should be embraced.

I challenge you now to do something lifechangi­ng!

I challenge you now to do something that scares you!

I challenge you now to get out of your comfort zone!

I challenge you to investigat­e doing something that gets your heart rate racing upwards.

2019 is going to be one amazing year yet again for our family and I really want it to be really special and exciting for you too. There could be a million things you could do starting today to get out of your comfort zone and do something different but that has to work for you and be right for you.

As always, the best thing you can do is to start asking questions and really get deep about your life and what you want from it.

I encourage my clients to take 20 minutes and do some form of inner work such as meditation. Taking the time to just relax and zone out in this informatio­n rich era we live in can be amazing.

Ideas and thoughts will come in and out of your awareness and then it’s just a case of waiting for something inspiratio­nal to come into the subconscio­us which will then come into your conscious awareness… it’s pretty amazing actually.

What do you want to achieve in your life? What do you want in your life that you do not currently have?

What needs to happen to make that one thing happen?

What small step could you take today to move you towards achieving that goal we set above?

Let’s make 2019 an uber achieving year. Together I am sure we can achieve something very special.
