Panto in the Wild West

-

APOPULAR fairy story is to be transported to the Wild West for a fun makeover. The Russell Players will be presenting Snow White and the Magnificent Seven for its postChristmas pantomime this year.

Running over the first two weekends in February, the family-friendly show takes the familiar and updates it for its new location.

The unexpected revelation that Snow White is actually the fairest on the prairie throws Widow Blackheart, her wicked and manipulative stepmother, into a jealous rage. Determined to seek her revenge, the Widow plots to remove Snow White permanently from her friends and the Happy Ever After Ranch. Can Snow White and her friends survive the treacherous and evil schemes of Widow Blackheart?

The show includes Tornado the talking horse, Silly Billy the Kid and some rather mischievous cacti.

It is performed on Friday, February 1, Saturday, February 2, Friday, February 8 and Saturday, February 9 at 7.30pm, with matinees at 2.30pm on the Saturdays.

There is also to be a charity performance in aid of the Me2 Club on Wednesday, February 6 from 7.30pm.

Tickets cost £10 or £5 for under 18s. They can be bought in advance from Swallowfield Stores or by calling 07555 073597.
