Magic will come to Hurst

- JAMES HASTINGS

THERE will be dastardly deeds and magical moments in Hurst this month.

The panto group is set to perform its ninth production which features the classic tale of Snow White.

It tells the story of the beautiful, kindhearted princess – played by Erin Bowe – as she flees her deviously evil aunt, Queen Elvira, who will stop at nothing to become the fairest in the land.

Guided by Fairy Snowdrop, will Prince Caspian and the seven dwarves reach Snow White in time to stop her biting into the poisoned apple?

Claire Lawrence, director and producer said: "We have so many great young people in our cast, who amaze us with their singing and acting.

"We have some wonderful new additions to our company this year, while also welcoming back some familiar faces.

“The inimitable Joe de Mounteney is reprising his role as Dame, playing Nursie, the palace nurse, with Katy Lawrence as her hapless son, Muddles.

“Traditional panto with a twist, Snow White will be a production filled with laughter, music and silly shenanigans. Of course there’s going to be audience participation, clever special effects, and a live band. This is going to be a really fun show for the whole family, and not one to miss.”

Snow White will be performed at Hurst Village Hall from Thursday, January 17 to Saturday, January 19 at 7.30pm and at 2pm on the Saturday matinee. Prices range from £7-£9 for seniors and under 16s and £10-£13 for others.

This is a fundraising, community event and all proceeds will go to the Hurst Pantomime Group.
