WOKINGHAM PROBUS Club members started their 2019 session on Wednesday , January 2 at the recently changed location of Coppid Beech Hotel, Bracknell.

The speaker programme was introduced for the coming year.

This includes a presentation by the Royal National Lifeboat Institution on Wednesday, February 6, and a talk on the Berkshire artist, Stanley Spencer,

on Wednesday, March 6.

These will be followed by a performance of the works of Dylan Thomas in character, a meeting in support of the local charity, Daisy’s Dream, and a talk on the Reading University Museum of English Rural Life.

A varied and interesting programme continues throughout the rest of the year and all present were encouraged to spread the word on the talks to come as the Club has plenty of capacity for more members to join.

PROBUS is a meeting place for retired or semi-retired professional and business people of either sex who assemble monthly in an informal and friendly atmosphere for social chat, a pleasant lunch and a talk on a general interest topic.
