JAMIE WILLIAMS picked up his first victory as Woodley United Royals boss, defeating Rotherfield United on penalties in the Reading Junior Cup.
Assisted by Reading FC Women stars Rachel Furness, Becky Jane and Rachael Laws, Williams’ side took the game to a shoot-out after a 1-1 draw at Woodlands Avenue thanks to Ross Blakemore’s goal.
And the Kestrels held their nerve from the spot, winning 5-4 to move into the next round. BERKS COUNTY ROVERS will also be in the hat after a 1-0 win at Stokenchurch with Lewis Way on target.
In league action, WOKINGHAM AND EMMBROOK RESERVES picked
up a point in the Premier Division with a 1-1 draw against BERKS
COUNTY at Lowther Road thanks to Sam Cooley’s second-half strike.
WESTWOOD UNITED also picked up a point with a goalless stalemate against Woodcote Stoke Row. HURST are up to fourth in

AFC CORINTHIANS picked up three points, winning 2-1 at Maidenhead Town Reserves thanks to goals from Stewart Milne and Jamie Wainwright.
