Another tough test awaits Bees

-

THE BERKSHIRE CYCLES Bracknell Bees have just a single game this weekend with a Sunday trip to Streatham ahead for Doug Sheppard’s team.

With a tight top four in the league standings, there is daylight between 4-5 and 5-6, where the London Raiders currently sit before a considerable margin to 7th and 8th.

Whereas the league table shows the Bees above Streatham it will be another tough test as the month of January comes to a close for the Bees.

Alex Roberts leads the scoring chart for Streatham with 37 points returned in 27 games with Adam Carr (36 points) and Leigh Jamieson (34 points) completing their top three offensive threats to date this season.

Netminding duties for Streatham are shared between Damien King and Nathan Gregory with the former being the preferred starter.

Head coach Jeremy Cornish is no stranger to the UK game having played in the top league and coached at Wightlink prior to his appointment with Streatham.

Bees head coach Doug Sheppard will be looking to rally his team following a mixed weekend to finish January on a high and carry momentum into the following weekend.

He said: “With just the one game this weekend it’s important we play well.

“We haven’t seen Streatham in a while, we had some very close games earlier this season.”

Bees travel to Streatham for 6.45pm face-off this Sunday.
