WHAT’S BREWING

IN FINCHAMPSTEAD?

-

CALLING all rugby enthusiasts and pubgoers alike! Our country pub, the George and Dragon has just upped its game, quite literally, by opening up the back room to host the upcoming Six Nations Rugby fixtures on a brand-new TV screen.

Situated away from the main dining area, this addition promises the perfect spot for sports enthusiasts without disturbing the cosy ambience of diners enjoying their meals. You’ll also be able to chow down on some of our Six Nations specials, the perfect mid-match munch.

But that's not all! If it’s even more craft beer you’re after, the Tap Yard will also be airing all the rugby games. We’ll have a selection of brewery fresh lagers, stouts, pale ales and more for you to enjoy with the game. Imagine relishing every moment of the game while sipping on your favourite brew – it's an experience that combines the thrill of the sport with the camaraderie of good company.

So, whether you're craving a delectable meal in the restaurant's serene environment or looking to immerse yourself in the energy of the Six Nations Rugby alongside fellow fans, either the Siren Tap Yard or The George and Dragon Pub has you covered.

The games kick off on Friday 2nd February, with the first England game on Saturday 3rd. Get in touch to book your seats, although there’s always plenty of walk-in space.

On to beer news, for those giving Dryanuary a go, we’ve just released our first ever low alcohol beers, coming in at just 0.5% ABV each. We’ve been asked about low alcohol beers for some time, but we didn’t want to do anything until we knew we could get it right.

Working in collaboration with low-alc industry heavyweights, Mash Gang, we couldn’t be happier with our first entries into the arena. The two beers are “Out of Nowhere”, a West Coast Pilsner and “Call of the Void”, a nitro dosed stout. The Nitro dosing gives the beer a thick, creamy head. Combined with the mass of adjuncts in coffee and chocolate amongst others, the beer is absolutely loaded with flavour. A create option for enjoying a beer whilst keeping a clear head.

Lastly - to celebrate Tryanuary (using January as an excuse to try new things), any orders over £20 (not inc. P&P) placed on our webshop this month will automatically drop into a prize draw to win a branded mini fridge! You have to be in it to win it, so get your beer orders in now.
