ASCOT UNITED squeezed past Warminster Town with a penalty shootout success following a goal-filled game.

The teams couldn’t be separated in normal time as they shared eight goals.

Sarah Leonard netted twice and Katie Vince scored to see the Yellas into a 3-1 lead.

Warminster hit back to make it 3-3 before Georgia Luckhurst McCord’s header restored Ascot’s advantage.

The visitors replied once again, this time in the 94th minute to take the game to penalties.

It was Ascot who held their nerve from the spot to progress

5-4 on penalties.

A stunning performanc­e from Lauren Smaje saw her hit a hattrick, while goals from Lauren Chennells, Ebony Day, Matilda Richards and India Cox helped them to a 7-2 success.

After 14 games, Finch have a four-point lead over closest challenger­s Yateley United.

YATELEY UNITED picked up their 11th win in 14 games with a 1-0 win over Ruislip Rangers 2s.

Harris scored the only goal of the game in the 82nd minute to earn Yateley three points to keep the pressure on Finch in the title race.

AFC READING were dealt their ninth defeat in 13 games with a 4-2 home loss against Harefield United.
