Making a connection to Wokingham
A NEW chiropractic clinic is to open in Wokingham in March. Shoppers in the town may have noticed improvements currently being carried out at 1, Old Row Court. The retail unit, previously leased by Maythers Cards has been empty since
October 6, when the shop closed for business.
Connection Chiropractic will open for business this Spring, and will be run by husband and wife team, Giselle van Niekerk and Dean Reider.
“We moved to Twyford a year ago, and we’ve been searching for somewhere to set up a clinic, said Ms van Niekerk.
“We’re originally from South Africa, but we’ve been living in Berkshire for eight years.
“We love it here, the community, and the ease of getting to London.
“We especially like Wokingham, so when a suitable property came on the market, we were delighted.”
There are four chiropractors already operating in the town, but Ms van Niekerk says that there can’t be too many.
“We don’t see other practitioners as competition,” she said.
“Everyone has a spine, and the need for treatment will always be there, so everyone wins.”
“There are five first generation chiropractors in our immediate family.
“You could call it our family’s strong calling, or passion.”
The couple have been working as associates for a brother-in-law, but are now ready to open their own clinic.
“Now that our youngest is six-months-old, we can do this,” said Ms van Niekerk.
“We’ll be treating people of all ages, from day-old babies to the very elderly.
“It’s a case of our family looking after your family.”
Connection Chiropractic plans to open for business on Monday, March 4.
The clinic will be offering free spinal checks on Saturday, March 9.
