BRACKNELL TOWN strengthen­ed their push for the play-offs with an away triumph against fellow challenger­s Merthyr Town.

Herbert’s goal broke the deadlock for Bracknell before the hosts levelled up before the break.

The Robins restored their lead when Ashley Lodge netted on the rebound after seeing his initial penalty saved.

Bracknell made it 3-1 when Joe Grant scored and held on to claim the points despite a stoppage time goal from the home team to make it 3-2.

The result puts Bracknell in seventh place on 45 points from 30 matches, just one point outside of the play-off places.

ASCOT UNITED got back to winning ways with a home victory over Chipstead.

The only goal of the game was scored by Liam Tack who converted from the penalty spot to help the Yellas to three points.

BERKS COUNTY remain in second place despite slipping to just their fifth league defeat of the campaign.

On their away visit to London Samurai Rovers, the Swords conceded twice without reply.

County stay in second place on 63 points from 28 games, 10 points behind leaders Amersham Town and six points above third placed Yateley United.

READING CITY U23s stay just above the danger zone after their heavy home defeat to table toppers Westwood Wanderers.

FINCHAMPST­EAD kept their cup hopes alive with an away success at Tadley Calleva Reserves.

An own goal from the hosts gave Finch the advantage before Tadley squared the game after half-time.

Having absorbed pressure from the home team, Finch took their chance with two clinical strikes to take a 3-1 win to move through to the final four of the competitio­n.

BERKS COUNTY SWORDS hit six past bottom of the table TWYFORD & RUSCOMBE.

Luke Garton scored a brace for Berks and there were goals for Matt Panton, Ben Payne and Callum Shields to secure a 6-1 victory.

The win puts Berks in fifth position on 18 points from 12 games, while Twyford are in 11th on three points.
