The right type of housing

The Lib Dems support housing development over and above the Government requirements by thousands while they claim to be fighting excessive housing numbers.

The Lib Dem solution is EVEN MORE development in Wokingham. Loads of new houses. but no new Doctors’ Surgeries or Dentists. Community Centres/ facilities - almost completely absent after five or more years.

This while the quality of our streets, schools, rivers, and our lives declines year after year while the Lib Dems do nothing?

Roads - worse than 2010 and fast approaching gridlock with potholes you could grow plants in with car parking charges up while our local businesses bleed to death.

Public Transport - a well-used park and ride has gone replaced by two white elephants.

Education - a new school in the wrong places resulting in a rubbish, very costly school transport system.

Sewage - flowing across our streets and in our rivers while with waste and recycling - service going down, costs going up.

So, if your life and that of your families, children and grandchildren is being impoverished by overdevelopment of our area, you might want to start asking why are the Lib Dems doing nothing to solve these issues? Nothing it would seem.

Quite the opposite - it is build even more houses on our green fields by rivers with no thought for Climate Emergency policies and our ecology.

Lib Dems are good at giving us slogans, leaflets and soundbites - but do very little about the consequences of over-development that we face every day.

Let us not forget that this is our future under the Lib Dems.
