Giles Napier, a self-confessed amateur statistician, seems to object to my writing to Wokingham.Today.

Giles should take comfort from the following: Instead of sitting in the road like a Just Stop Olive Oil eco zealot buffoon, holding up ambulances and people trying to get to medical appointments, funerals, work and school et al, I write a letter.

Also, I have my name published, unlike some who have written in the past.

I see the results of the Kingswood and Wellingborough by-elections are in (Friday, February 16).

In Kingswood, Reform UK came third with 2,578 votes - 10.4% of the vote. The Lib Dems did so badly on

861 votes that they were lumped in with Other on minus 4%!

In Wellingborough, Reform UK again came third with 3,919 votes - 13% of the vote. The Lib Dems came fourth with 1,422 votes with 4.7% of the vote. They were down by 3.1%.

As an amateur statistician, would Giles like to work out from these results what the statistical likelihood would be of Reform UK gaining more seats in Parliament at the next General Election than the Liberal Democratic Party?

The Shameless Lib Dem leader,

Sir Ed Davey, the Lib Dem Limpet, wasn’t breaking down any Blue Walls at these two by-elections.

Perhaps because his shameless party chose not to get rid of him, despite his role as a minister in the Post Office miscarriage of justice scandal.

I think it is now very clear that voting for the shameless Lib Dems would not serve any useful purpose with Reform UK doing so well.

Voting for Reform seems to send a much more powerful message.

I look forward to reading the statistics that Giles produces wit reference Reform UK pushing the Lib Dems into fourth place, or lower, at the next General Election.
