We are looking for Volunteer Befrienders to help us do this. We take a person-centred approach to all our services which means each befriending relationship will be different.

You might not have experience of everything on this list. That’s fine; finding the right person is more important to us than ticking all the boxes.

We hope you’ll be; reliable, warm and caring, be able to relate well to other people, keep personal boundaries, be open minded to different lifestyles and values and enjoy volunteering independently.

We will provide all the necessary training before you start and then provide regular support in a way that suits you along the way. If you are interested, please d o get in touch.

■ Girlguiding Wokingham are looking for volunteers to help organise weekly unit meetings in the Wokingham area.

Become an inspiring role model for our members – and help empower girls to be their best.

Our weekly unit meetings are at the heart of Girlguiding. When you volunteer at them, you’ll have fun, get messy, meet new people and run activities that help our members discover their potential.

We’re flexible and volunteering can be arranged to fit around a busy lifestyle, you do not need to be available to attend every week.

We are also looking for a Social

Media Coordinator to help us to promote Wokingham Girlguiding on social media and a Recruitment Coordinator, to be the first point of contact for our volunteers providing a warm welcome to Girlguiding, coordinate matching the volunteer with a unit and completing the required recruitment checks.

■ If you are interested in any of these roles or would like to discuss volunteering in general, please get in touch with our Volunteer Services Manager, Helena Badger on 0118 977 0749 or email volunteer@wokvol.org.uk.
