London, Annabel and Grace now live in different parts of the UK. The CountryWives blog they created eight years ago – to stay in touch and share experiences of their rural lives – took off when it captured the imagination of other women in a similar situation. Which woman has inspired you in your life? annabel: Michelle obama, who made the role of First lady her own. What’s your mantra? Grace: see every day as a new opportunity.

What advice would you give to your younger self? annabel: there’s always fun to be had round the corner.

What achievements are you most proud of? Grace: For reaching the nineyear milestone with the CountryWives without losing our integrity.
