MANDY MUDEN Comedy magician and Britain’s Got Talent semi-finalist

mandy was the first ever woman to host the famous magic Circle (which was all-male till 1991), and was also awarded member of the Inner magic Circle. she reached the semi-finals of

Britain’s Got Talent earlier this year.

Which woman has inspired you in your life? I often listen to Joan Rivers on the way to a gig. she was a powerful character. What’s your mantra? Just do it. we spend too much time feeling fear.

What couldn’t you live without? the friends and family who I speak to or see every day. What advice would you give to your

younger self? to keep your nerve, even when something seems too difficult to achieve.

What achievements are you most proud of? being one of the first women to win an award in the Magic Circle and helping people to realise that women can be magicians too!

How do you feel about winning this award? amazed! being a magician can be a lonely profession and it’s lovely to get some recognition.
