What I've LEARNT about STYLE
rachel bishop, 46, managing director of Fluorescent Pr, shares her style tips
1 don’t be afraid of Colour Women can be frightened of wearing bold shades. the easiest way to introduce colour is to style up a print with neutral classics like a black polo neck or wide-leg trousers. 2 Black heeled ankle boots – you can never have enough. they are super versatile as they can add an edge to a feminine dress or dress up a pair of jeans. 3 go Faux Grab yourself a fur-effect jacket. Stores like asos, h&M, M&S and zara have really good coats that will add a touch of va-va-voom to an outfit. 4 Investment dresses i love a printed dress, from floral to leopard, stripes to spots. this Preen line one works for evening as well as day. i just add black tights and a leather biker jacket for a day look. 5 bag it up i have an expansive collection of bags from hill & Friends that i love. a great bag can make a huge difference to an outfit. 6 Statement Jewellery When i wear a bright print, i dial down the accessories to cocktail rings or a cuff – fine pieces tend to get lost. 7 add a dash of red lipstick it always makes me feel confident and pulls the look together. w&h
