KATIE PIPER
The television presenter and former model tells Georgia Farquharson about the things that make her happyÉ
Katie, 35, lives with her husband Richard Sutton, in London. They have two daughters, Belle, four, and Penelope, one.
BIRTHDAY TREAT
Yellowtail sashimi every time! I love the one they do in Nobu, which is a very special treat that I save for birthdays! It comes in a strong vinaigrette sauce, and I like foods with a strong tangy taste. WEIGHTLIFTING
The feeling of your body being super strong is just great, I would love to do weightlifting professionally if I had the time – I find it great for stress relief.
SMART CAR
I hate parking and I am always rushing about so it’s ideal for me to be able to park anywhere with ease.
SCENTED CANDLES
Jo Malone Pomegranate Noir: it’s so beautiful and the scent’s strong enough to stay in the house, making it smell so sweet. FAMILY GUY
Stewie the baby is my favourite character because a baby shouldn’t speak like that! But it’s hilarious, and you do sometimes wonder what sort of inner commentary babies have going on in their head and if it does resemble that.
CREAM ROSES
People think of me as a pink person, but I’m not! It may be because my charity is branded bright pink, but I prefer cool, neutral colours. I love cream roses. PODCASTS
I often listen to podcasts or audiobooks and recently fulfilled a goal to launch my own podcast, Katie Piper’s Extraordinary People. Guests are people
I’ve met who have overcome adversity.
BARCELONA
My best friend lives there so I nip over for two days so we can have tapas out in the sunshine and catch up. Bliss! Katie Piper’s Confidence: The Journal (Quercus Books) is out now. w&h
