From late October until mid December, the Donna Nook National Nature Reserve offers one of the most accessible places in the UK where visitors can experience the wildlife spectacle of the birthing of grey seal pups. More than 1,300 are born annually, which makes for quite the spectacle. The viewing area at the foot of the sand dunes reduces disturbance to the seals and ensures visitor safety.
