After winning over the nation on I’m A Celebrity…, the legendary football manager, 72, is launching his own business to raise money for charity

Harry lives in Dorset with his wife Sandra. They have two sons – football pundit Jamie and model Mark – and five grandchildren.

My earliest memories… When I was living in the East End, we had two rooms upstairs in my great-grandmother’s little house. There were bomb sites at the ends of the street. Rationing was still in, so my nan would get me a bar of chocolate once a week, but people were very positive. Doors were left open, the old ladies would sit outside talking and we’d play until it was too dark to see. We enjoyed the small things in life!

My rise to fame… I always wanted to be a footballer. The only other option would have been working in the docks with my dad, as I didn’t have an education. I started playing when I was 11.

A scout asked me to train at Tottenham after seeing me play. I would leave home at seven in the morning and travel to where I needed to play.

My significant other… It was so special to see Sandra after being in the jungle last year. We stopped off in Dubai for four days and although it was short, I loved every minute of it.

I do spoil the grandkids, but I try to teach them values as well. These days, they don’t even talk to you – they’ve just got earphones in. When my kids were growing up, they had a paper round. There was one time when Jamie was late, so I went to help him and as I was pushing the paper through the letter box, this old man opened the door to tell me off. I was managing Bournemouth FC at the time and he was like, “What are you doing, delivering papers?” so I said, “It don’t pay much in Bournemouth football club, so I’m subsidising.”

My work with GoDaddy… I love jam roly poly pudding. It’s the thing I missed most in the jungle, so I thought, why not start a business selling them and make some money for charity? GoDaddy helped me out – they got me a smart, simple website up and running in no time!

Harry has set up his own business with GoDaddy at harrysrolypolys.uk and is co-manager of team World XI at Soccer Aid for UNICEF on 16 June.
