Novelist and mum-oftwo Jill lives in Bristol with her partner Cino. Where are you going? Cino and I are off on a cruise this summer because we like having endless things to do on holiday, and sailing to different countries on a gorgeous ship provides us with just that. For this trip we’ll be making our way around France, Spain and Guernsey, but we’ve been on many cruises over the years and have never had a bad one – even a stormy Atlantic crossing can be an exciting experience when the boat is rocking like crazy and everyone’s ricocheting their way around restaurants and dance floors.

What will you be reading? On holiday I like to read exciting suspense novels that sweep me along – Lisa Jewell’s Watching You, The Evidence Against You by Gillian McAllister and Clare Mackintosh’s After the End are books I’ll definitely buy.

I shall also secretly be keeping an eye out for characters on board that I can put into my own next book.
