WE LOVE TO HEAR FROM YOU, SO LET US KNOW YOUR OPINIONS, YOUR STORIES – AND ANYTHING THAT MATTERS IN YOUR LIFE
A GREAT SUCCESS
Can I send my heartfelt thanks to Julie for being a living kidney donor [Letter in December]? I was one for my late husband. After seeing him languish on dialysis, I asked if I could donate. Though I’d been told I wasn’t a good enough match, the transplant was a great success. Sadly, my husband passed away three years later, but I don’t regret my decision. Pauline
RISING UP
I’m sure I’m so glad you left me [January] resonated with many women who’ve had to reinvent themselves after a relationship breakdown. How easy it must be to lose one’s ‘self’ through a chipping away of one’s confidence, especially with children in the mix. It’s all the more admirable to rise like a phoenix to claim back positivity and joy. Lynn
UPLIFTING ADVICE
I was inspired by Aysha’s tip of inhaling and exhaling gratitude for what you have in Gifting by post [December]. I suffer from anxiety, but I read this and realised how much I love everyone around me. When an attack strikes, I remember this and immediately feel better.

TOO TWEE?
Is there a more nauseating phrase in the English language than ‘fur baby’ [January]? Pets provide many with companionship and fun, but don’t subscribe to twee anthropomorphism. Sara
WIDER CHOICE
I couldn’t agree more with Penny’s letter about high-end beauty and fashion [January]. Some more affordable ideas would be wonderful. Kim
AN INSPIRATION
Nadiya Hussain’s story [November] was heart-warming and empowering. Kudos to her, inspiring so many of us. Richa
TOP CHALLENGES
In December 2020, I decided to try 60 new things in my 60th year, but COVID extended the challenge into 2022. So far, I’ve completed Couch to 5k, raised £400 for charity and learnt to play the sax, to name just a few. Having my story printed in w&h will tick another item off my list! Tracy
READING CONCERNS
I love the mag but please would you change the font of the white titles on your pictures? Recent issues made me reach for my glasses or just give up. Sue
Editor’s reply We hear you, Sue, and will try to avoid it in future.
