THE RIGHT MCCALL
I thought your Davina profile [November] was awesome. My favourite quote was, ‘I work hard for this body, it doesn’t just happen. I watch what I eat and I work out regularly. I don’t care if that annoys people and that is so liberating.’ Having spent decades reading magazines about how my 50s will be the best time of life, I finally feel it is. Thanks Davina!

ALL THAT GLITTERS…
I really enjoyed my December issue of woman&home, but it featured clothes and accessories made with tiny glittery bits that, once finished with, go into landfill, where they can take hundreds of years to degrade (if at all). Shouldn’t we be thinking about sustainability in our festive behaviour as well as in everyday life? Jenny
STYLE CRIMES
Your feature Need Some Help, Gents? [November] made me howl. My partner wears shorts all year round, and on the rare occasions that he wears long trousers, he always says, ‘I’ve got my big boy pants on.’ He’s 52! I’m going to show him this article.

SKIN DEEP
What an extensive and confusing range of products in November’s feature on beauty buys! My dear grandmother used mild soap, Pond’s Cold Cream, and a dash of glycerine and rose water from the local chemist. Her skin was lovely. Why is our beauty regime now so complicated? Vivienne
WELL READ
I live on a cattle property in rural Australia and get your magazine every month. I then pass it on to my daughter, who gives it to her motherin-law. I take note of the series and movies featured, we try the recipes, and my daughter always orders the books you recommend for her library. There’s no other magazine like it. Leisa
FIT FOR PURPOSE
As a fairly fit ‘senior’, Annie Deadman’s articles in woman&home tick all the boxes for me. Her achievable goals don’t involve pounding pavements or gyrating in the gym, giving me much more enthusiasm to exercise.
