Winner Friendship above and beyond

Having set up ladies Fighting breast Cancer (lfbc.org.uk), Veronica has raised over £1 million for crucial equipment at her local hospital. “I was inspired and empowered by the wonderful ladies around me at the event,” she says of our awards evening. “Wearing the perfect little black dress made me feel confident for my acceptance speech – and so very special.

We all felt amazing!” Veronica was spurred into action after losing two close friends to breast cancer. “the award means everything,” she says. “It will help to raise the profile of our charity, so I can spread the word: ‘ladies, check your boobs!’”
