As Eamonn’s caught out flirting with another woman, Ruth lays down the law….

Ruth Langsford and Eamonn Holmes are so happily married that his famously flirtatious manner is often met with a roll of the eyes and a brush off from Ruth.
But recently Eamonn overstepped the mark in a show of flirting that sent the usually composed Ruth into a spin, causing her to issue a stern warning to her rival on live telly!
The incident came after the pair were interviewing controversial TV personality Josie Cunningham on This Morning, when Josie made a play for Eamonn in a front of a startled Ruth. Josie confessed to being on the look out for a sugar daddy, and Eamonn tried to clarify by saying, ‘So if I give you a phone call...’ To which Josie replied, ‘Oh, Eamonn, you can call me any time.’ Eamonn continued, ‘And you could bring me a bacon sandwich and I just pay for your boob job. That’s the way it works?’ Then Josie said, ‘I’ll do anything for you if you paid for my boob job!’
The incident sent social media into a frenzy, with viewers slamming Josie Cunningham for coming on to Eamonn in front of his wife. One viewer described Ruth’s ‘death stare’ and another said, ‘Why hasn’t Ruth punched her yet?’ to which Ruth vowed; ‘I can take on anyone flirting with my husband.’
And it’s not the first time Ruth has shown her jealous side. Last year, she warned off Eamonn’s Sky colleagues after they posted a photo of them hugging and kissing him on Twitter, tweeting, ‘Lovely tribute but hands off @Eamonnholmes now!’ She explains, ‘I always say to Eamonn, you should be flattered if I’m jealous because it means I care.’
Although Eamonn teases Ruth, he would never actually cheat – even if the avid Manchester United fan has previously joked, ‘I’d be more likely to go astray in other areas than to betray United!’
Indeed the nation’s golden couple seem to be causing a stir by being even more candid on screen than they ever have before. Recently, Ruth made an x-rated confession on Loose Women in a heated discussion about orgasms, when she admitted she had faked them.
She said, ‘When I was younger I probably did. Well, I know I did. But as I got older I thought, ‘What’s the point because you’re only cheating yourself.’ Sex is a personal thing and you don’t always need to have an orgasm to enjoy sex.’
But Ruth and Eamonn clearly have a winning formula behind closed doors, as Ruth once confessed to Woman that she wasn’t sure she would ever find The One. She said, ‘As I got older, I stared to worry that I’d never meet the right man. I was in my late thirties when I met Eamonn.’ And despite the odd bit of flirting, Eamonn knows how lucky he is to have Ruth, and once revealed the sight of her blows him away. He said, ‘I still wake up in the morning and think, ‘Wow’ when I see her.’ There’s no sign of a showmance here!
