Bingo Win with us!

Rita White, 49, from Birmingham is proof you don’t have to spend a lot to win big on Woman Bingo

-

I’ve always been a bingo fan and have been playing since my mid-twenties, but for the last 10 years I’ve been playing online, as well as making the odd trip to my local bingo hall.

I’ve always worked around computers and technology, so playing bingo online seemed like a fun and easy way to spend my free time, especially when getting to the local bingo hall became less convenient for me.

After searching around a few websites, I came across Woman Bingo and thought it seemed like a good option because of the buzzy online community, and the chat rooms that accompany the games.

That was eight years ago now and I still play on my desktop computer, usually with a cuppa and with the telly on in the background. Sometimes though, I like to turn the telly down so I can hear the game playing out and the bingo numbers being called, as that makes it even more fun and exciting!

Having been a member for so long, I’ve had lots of wins over the years, often £30 or £50 and sometimes a few hundred. It’s such a great feeling when you win and I like treating my family.

Playing with pennies

In October 2016, I had logged in one evening and was playing ‘session bingo’. It’s quite a new game on the site where you pay one price for a session and that’s it for the whole hour. There are several chances to win across a bundle of different 75, 80 and 90 ball bingo games and of course the Progressive Jackpots are up for grabs too. Plus there are the games in the chat room as well, so there's an extra chance you could win a prize there too.

I had been logged in for about an hour in October and then I decided to have a few bingo games in Tiki before calling it a day. I spent 50p and bought 50 tickets as they’re each a penny.

There was a Progressive Jackpot, meaning it was gradually going up and up. Quite quickly, I had one number left to go…

I’d been in that situation a few times before. It’s exciting waiting to see if the next number called will be yours, while at the same time trying to be cool as a cucumber and not jump up and down.

It was just as well I was sitting down, as suddenly, the last number I had been waiting for was called. I had won the Progressive Jackpot! I had seen lots of members win the Progressive Jackpot and imagined how it would feel if one day I would be a big winner.

The total prize pot had gone up to £1,154 and I’d won the lot!

Messages came flooding in from the

other members saying congratulations and ‘well done winner’. I always announce in the chat rooms how many numbers I have left to go, so my friends were all chuffed to hear I had won.

A good day

My son came in from work a little later and I started asking him about his day, still in my calm mood. ‘How about you?’ he asked in return. ‘I’ve had a good day,’ I smiled. ‘I had a little win on the bingo.’

Peering over at my screen, he saw my account balance.

‘Oh my God, Mum! That’s a huge win!’ he laughed.

With Christmas just a few months away, I knew that I’d be spending the money treating my four kids and my two sons-in-law. In fact, I got all my presents in November, before anyone started their shopping – including some for my husky, Shadow – it was so nice being able to treat the family I also had a bit of money left over to treat myself to a few things which was wonderful, but even better was being able to spoil my loved ones. I am still playing online a few times a week and the great thing is that with games like Tiki for just a penny per ticket, you can find something to suit any budget. And playing in the comfort of my own home makes it even better. Who knows, if you join, it could just as easily be you who wins, too!
